Job Summary


Hand in Hand Zimbabwe is an emerging development organization, working towards creating sustainable livelihoods. The organization is operating in 7 districts in the country with Head Office in Bulawayo employing over 100 people. We support poor, marginalized people in rural and peri-urban communities – particularly women and youth – to create better livelihoods for themselves and their families. The vehicle we use to achieve sustainable and inclusive rural development is grass-root entrepreneurship. We have trained more than 23,261 smallholder farmers in entrepreneurship, starting up close to 15,386 profitable and sustainable enterprises. Hand in Hand Zimbabwe seeks to extend its current program portfolio by starting up an Incubator Program aiming at accelerating a selected number of highly potential micro and small businesses into profitable and sustainable enterprises at a larger scale. The potential enterprises will be recruited from HiH Zim´s basic entrepreneurial training programs and thus have already demonstrated a certain skill to run a business profitably. The position that will report to the CEO, will be responsible for the implementation of the Program and will be based at the Bulawayo Country Office.

Duties And Responsibilities


Leading the incubator and accelerator project
Creating and developing incubation and acceleration related content
Delivering and executing the innovation workshops and training
Leading incubated enterprises throughout the entire incubation journey
Providing all necessary support, mentorship, and training to incubates
In consultation with the Training Coordinator, lead all the entrepreneurship training initiatives for incubates; Development of training materials for the project and liaising with 3rd party trainers and mentors
Working closely with technical teams on developing and executing innovation aspects and scope of the project
In close collaboration and consultation with the technical teams identify potential and high quality enterprises for acceleration
Building alliances with influencers in the incubation and acceleration ecosystem

Qualifications And Experience


University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agricultural Economics or relevant education
4+ years’ of hands on and proven experience in working with incubators and accelerators
Experience leading and running incubator and accelerator programs
Experience in creating content for innovation programs, workshops and training
Self-starter with entrepreneurial vision, critical thinking
Innovative and creative mindset, very organized, good presentation skills
Experience working in entrepreneurial environments such as incubators and accelerators is a must.
