The Goals Of This Meeting Include
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Facilitator will facilitate an effective 2022 Regional Human Resources Network Meeting.
- Facilitating networking and team building among the 21 country offices and regional office.
- Sharing and discussing global and regional human resources developments, recurring issues, priorities and guidance.
- Activities and Tasks:
The consultant is expected to provide high-quality facilitation of the HRNM. Specifically, he/she will
- Participate in planning meetings to finalize the meeting agenda, activities, and logistics prior to the HRNM.
- Prepare a facilitation plan for the HRNM, as per the prescribed agenda.
- As part of the facilitation plan, develop and introduce and close out the meeting days and individual sessions.
- Ensure the meeting sessions flow and stay within their prescribed time.
- Facilitate plenary discussions, panels, small group discussions, and other interactive activities during the sessions.
- Involve virtual participants as appropriate in the sessions.
- Develop and lead icebreakers, energizers, and other team-building activities.
- Conduct a brief evaluation and prepare a short report documenting the evaluation results.
Work relationships:
- The consultant will report to the ESARO Human Resources Manager and is expected to work closely with the meeting’s session leads in preparing the facilitation plan.
Performance Indicators Include
- Facilitation plan details the specific methods/activities that the facilitator will use for each session, transitions between sessions, and team building/icebreaker/energizer activities.
- >80% of meeting participants rate the facilitation as good or great in evaluation
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline, ideally in organizational development and/or communications.
- At least five (5) years’ work experience in facilitating and coordinating events, including regional meetings /workshops.
- Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Full working knowledge of online and interactive meeting technology (e.g., Zoom, MS-Teams, Mentimeter, Slido, etc.)
- Previous working experience with UN and/or international organization desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish effective work relationships.
- Flexible and able to respond to and accommodate change easily.
- Administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner.
- Experience of working independently and remotely
