Duties And Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities of the Training Officer:
– Analyse training needs and to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs
– Prepares the Annual Training Plan according to the budget of the hotel property
– Develops and conducts induction training programs and ensures trainings are implemented to all new hires
– Implements supervisory and management development sessions and to certify team leaders to become trainers.
– Develops and organize training manuals, multimedia training visual aids and other educational material
– Arranges the implementation the cross-training policy as required.
– Communicates with Department Heads and Managers the training attendance of their staff with the support of HR Manager and General Manager
– Assists and works with Department Heads, and the Human Resources Manager to perform the other Human Resources related tasks within department: performance appraisals, coaching, counselling, discipline and grievance, employee relations, wage and salary administration, compensation and benefits, and succession planning.
– In consultation with the People and Human Resources Management sources, recommends and coordinates provision of specialised external training as required
– Develops training supporting documentation as required
– Ensures the accurate and timely implementation and maintenance of training records in consultation with other Human Resources personnel
– Demonstrates a positive attitude and continuous improvement methodology across
all aspects of this role -Works proactively to maximize the guest service and the team experience, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution -Delivers on plans where human resources initiatives & hotel targets are achieved

Requirements of the Training Officer:
-Proven experience in HR with excellent problem-solving capabilities
-Excellent skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
-Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
-Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
-Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy
-Experienced in using IT systems on various platforms
-Strong communication skills
