Job Description
As a Refractory Marson Artisan your role requires you to be responsible for maintaining, installing, repairing, and commissioning of ladles, furnace tap holes, launders, and hearth. Your role will also include:

Duties And Responsibilities

Relining of various equipment within the operation, specifically Launders, Hot Gas Generators, Furnace, Refractory Installation
Checking of Furnace measurements
Checking and repairing of Launders
Executing workplace risk assessments and safe working procedures
Ensuring down time of tap holes, launders is minimized.
Being responsible for checklists and that inspections are up to date and accurate
Ensuring safe achievement of ladle, tap hole and launder availability through effective installation, repair, and maintenance
Ensuring that refractory materials are available as required

Qualifications And Experience

5 O Levels
Trade Certificate in Refractory Marson (Please attach Certificate)
Apprenticeship Trained

5 years working experience as a Refractory Marson Artisan
Smelting Operation experience required
Knowledge of Computer Literacy (Microsoft Excel, Power Point and MS Word
Exposure in Analyzing Data
Report Writing Skills
Capability of working at elevated temperatures (heat tolerance)
