For appointment to this grade, a candidate must be in possession of :
Bachelors’ degree in any of the following disciplines: Energy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Energy) or equivalent and relevant qualification from a University recognized in Kenya;
Duties and Responsibilities:-
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of an experienced officer.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Participating in collection, collation and analysis of data on renewable energy activities;
- Participating in renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency and conservation demonstrations and extension activities,
- Participating in preparation of technical reports;
- Disseminating renewable energy information; and
- Promoting renewable energy technologies.
