Job Title: Sales & Marketing Lead

Reports To: Sales and Marketing Officer/General Manager

Job Purpose:
A highly organized and pro-active direct sales and marketing individual with experience in direct sales, sales team management (full time employed and freelancers), marketing and Sales management to support the execution of the company’s sales and marketing strategy. .

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support Sales and Marketing officer/General Manager, Distributors in developing strategies, improvements and tactical plan execution and daily, weekly and monthly sales management
• Manage and coordinate a successful field sales team, including budgets and commissions payments
• Collect and analyze sales data to track sales and suggest improvements to drive better results
• Organize and execute marketing activities such as events, activations and promotional campaigns
• Plan, direct and implement sales strategies and programs to achieve or exceed sales objectives of the company.
• Support the development and design of marketing materials such as brochures, banners and sales tools
• Develop, monitor and control sales budget to ensure optimum utilization of the resources
• Engage with customers to obtain market feedback
• Conduct regular market visits to check route coverage, competitor activities and continuously search for new opportunities in order to increase sales in the region
• Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network to ensure the comprehensive availability of company’s products

Minimum Experience Requirements:
• At least 2 years focused on either sales or marketing at a consumer products company
• Experience working with Start up in FMG or beverage industry is highly preferred.
• At least 1 year of field sales experience and team management

Preferred Experience Requirements:
• More than 2 years driving experience, with Valid Driving license
• Experience working at FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) company
• Knowledge of graphics design

Required Skills:
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel, Out Look and PowerPoint is a MUST
• Proficiency with well-organized data entry & data analysis using MS Excel
• Very well organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task multiple priorities at any given time
• Self-starter, able to think creatively and solve problems on the fly in order to accomplish the goal
• Very good with people, a confident but empathetic results-oriented person who plays to win but strives for mutual benefit
• Eager to get hands-dirty and get in the field, with 80% time in field and 20% in office
• Must enjoy being with customers, attending to their needs and satisfying customers regardless of income categories and backgrounds
• Strong desire to have a lasting impact on Tanzania in terms of economic and social development
• Fluency in English
