Job Summary

Applications are invited from suitable qualified and experienced candidates for position of Receptionist in Harare. The successful incumbent will be expected to create and maintain a hospitable and clean reception area.

Duties And Responsibilities

Receive visitors and direct them to the right office;
Receive, sort and distribute internal and external mail, record detail of incoming and outgoing mails;
Receive and make calls;
Provide basic and accurate information on products and services in person and via phone /mail;
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk( monitor logbook, issue visitors badges);
Make Boardroom bookings for meetings and ensure the boardroom is in good condition.
Maintain petty cash expenditures receipts, reconcile and requests petty cash reimbursements from Finance department;
Raise internal purchases requisition for office consumables and stationary and submits to admin department;
Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and faxing;

Qualifications And Experience

5 O’Levels including English Language
A Diploma in Business Administration or Secretarial Diploma will be an added advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite packages
Hands-on experience with office equipment ( e.g. fax machines and printers)
The ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision
Ability to work as a team
Ability to set priorities and high planning and organizational skills
Excellent and effective communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent organized and time management skills
Good personality, well-groomed and social etiquette is a must
At least 2 years experience, as a receptionist
Be at least 25 years of age
